今天去參加一個 Live Sound-Reactive Visual Workshop
比較偏向是給VJ的workshop, 比較特別的是他是英文授課.

This workshop explores different ways to create visuals that react in real time to sound.
Two mentors will share their distinct techniques and workflows, giving participants a broader view of how sound-reactive visuals can be designed, coded, or performed live.

Focus: Sound-Reactive Visuals with Processing

Introduction to Processing for sound-reactive visual creation
Using the Processing Sound library to analyze audio input
Detecting input volume from the computer and mapping it to
visuals
Using sound data to alter dimension, position, and color
Hands-on experimentation with simple visual systems
Participants bring image files (.png, .jpeg, .jpg) to manipulate
with sound
Focus on understanding the logic behind audio-to-visual mapping, not just presets

第一次聽到這個場館, 看起來很高級.
因為是英語講授, 也有一位外國人來上課.

Workshop分三個部分, 第一段是由講師 Boss CHen 帶大家使用 Resolume 啟動與聲音連動的功能 (直接使用筆電的內建麥克風).

Resolume其實是一個不太容易上手的軟體, 除了介面非常複雜以外還有很多硬體相容性的問題存在. 所以開始就遇到許多學員遇到各種各樣的設定問題需要求救. 最後大部分學員都有成功連動聲音觸發影像.

小宗宗原本就是用Resolume, 之前也有稍微玩過與聲音連動的功能, 所以這部分只是回憶一下多年前的記憶而已, 沒什麼大問題.

第二段由講師 Gabriel (Silla Turca) 為大家講解用 Processing 工具去產生與聲音互動的影像.
有偷聽別桌的VJ大佬提到 TouchDesigner 這套軟體好像更多人用, 但他的學習難度比 Processing 更難一點. 找到一個網頁有比較許多不同的視覺軟體-> 這邊

以前也有研究過vvvv但是沒人帶真的不好上手.

Processing比較像是用程式產生你想要的圖樣, Resolume比較像是你準備好很多精美的影片素材後放進去用Resolume進行疊圖與疊加不同效果產生想要的結果, Processing 則是完全用程式碼去產生你想要的影像. 所以沒有程式基礎的人可能一開始會感到有點害怕.

不過講師有先把幾個範例程式碼在活動前先發給大家玩玩, 讓大家可以不用現場從0開始寫程式.

小宗宗覺得如果會寫程式的話 Processing 搭配一些範例程式玩起來還蠻有趣的, 而且查網路感覺也可以用Spout把結果送給Resolume去疊合, 這樣可以產生更多不同的影像.
講師也有現場示範使用AI工具直接生成 Processing 的程式碼貼到編輯器裡面後執行給大家看. 讓不會寫程式的人更容易上手.

示範的程式碼也都不難, 但蠻有創意的, 覺得很有趣.
